Before you order a wrap
The questions people ask before buying — electric scooters included. TXD sells pre-cut sets and ships nationwide — we don't install. A short removal checklist is on the “Before you wrap & when you remove it” page.
- 01
Can a color-changing wrap get you fined?
Wraps are legal. The real question is whether the color on your registration still matches the bike.
- 02
Is it different for electric scooters?
Registered electric scooters: same color rule. Unregistered e-bikes: no color on any papers. Not legal advice.
- 03
Does a wrap damage the paint?
On healthy factory paint, applied properly and removed with heat, the paint usually comes out intact. TXD doesn’t install or remove wraps.
- 04
Full-cover wrap or separate decals?
Four things that all get called “wrapping a bike”. TXD sells full-cover graphic sets, not tiger-stripe decals.
- 05
Why do cheap wraps lift at the edges?
Calendered film is stiff on curved panels. TXD uses cast vinyl. No brochure promises about years.
- 06
TXD doesn’t install — what does the installer do?
We ship a pre-cut set. You pay the shop for labor. Four steps: remove the panels, clean, overlap, dry-fit.
